Volunteer Sign-Up & Participation Instructions
  • Communicate with your CIA Agent on the volunteer opportunities he or she has told you about. Don't hesitate to ask questions, share ideas
    or concerns: We want you to have the best volunteer experience possible!

  • Have a great volunteer experience with the organization you've selected!

  • Let your CIA Agent know how you enjoyed your experience. If you'd prefer to try something new, indicate that to your Agent so we can find
    you a new match. If you enjoyed your experience and plan to continue, indicate that to your Agent as well.

  • Feel free to log back into your Communities In Action account here to change any of your personal details or log volunteer hours (optional).
    Once logged in, you will also be able to view a list of special CIA group service projects under the "My Activities - Activity Sign Up" tab.
ONCE YOU ARE REGISTERED
STEP 1
Complete your sign up form for CIA here.
Review CIA volunteer waiver and policies during registration.

Before acceptance, participants under 18 must print the
waiver (printable version here), have a parent or guardian
sign the form, and mail it to:

 STEP 2
Depending on the contact preferences you indicated, you
will receive your first email or voicemail from your
designated Communities In Action (CIA) Agent within a
week after your registration has been accepted. This person
will be your contact throughout your experience with us. Be
sure to check your email spam box for this message in case
it has ended up there.
